Immediate Benefits From Stretching

The red headed step child of the fitness realm. The "I have 1 hour at the gym and my muscles only get 2-3 minutes of that time." ( your neck gets more of a stretch than that while checking your IG feed, in-between sets ) Though this was the trend for some time, fortunately, that is quickly changing course and we understand just how important stretching is for your physical and mental health. I am Health and Fitness professional, Mike Lewkowicz. Welcome.
There are a multitude of reasons to begin a regular stretching routine (doesnt have to be yoga), beginning with promoting the release of feel good endorphins, that flood your body and get you vibin'.

2. Increase of circulation in and around your joints

4. Reduction of muscle tension
5. Enhanced muscular coordination and balance
6. Tandem with a healthy diet, can help to reduce cholesterol
7. Greatly improve your posture (might even make you taller)
Now you can never get as good of a stretch as you will if you have a professional assisting your stretch, a stretching strap is 2nd best. This allows you to relax your muscles more and get into a more stretchy position, much much easier. I recommend 10 minutes a day, hitting all the major muscle groups that get shortened with day-to-day activities. ( glutes, hammies, shoulders) Try it out for 7 days straight and you will notice much more benefit from stretching, than your "55 minute workout". Happy stretching people.
