Any amateur golfer has watched a round or two of the PGA pros sinking their birdie putts and driving the ball 300 + yards. There are two major differences between pros and joes, talent and flexibility. Stop reading if you are looking for talent here, can’t help you out in that department. I can educate you and help you to become more flexible so you can have a swing, like a pro. The groundwork for any fluid golf swing, is flexibility. Opening the hips, rotating the torso while extending through the shoulders, is key. You can google “golf stretches” and come up with a few hundred different stretches, so we won’t get in to that. Stretching before and throughout the week, will loosen your muscles and keep them more pliable, equaling an increased range of motion and minimizing pain throughout your swing. You will notice a major decrease in fatigue throughout your round or rounds. Daily stretching is highly recommended. Minimum 10 minutes and up to 60 mins daily. If you find a tight area, stretch it! Outside of those finds, think about the golf swing and execute stretches in that specific direction, to maximize ROM within that specific plane.
